Overview

The DFRobot Maqueen Plus V3 is an educational robot designed for STEM learning and student robotics competitions. It combines multiple onboard sensing and motion-control features to support classroom projects and more advanced autonomous tasks.

A matrix laser ranging sensor gives the robot distance awareness for obstacle detection and route planning, while built-in line-tracking and intersection-recognition functions help simplify common navigation exercises. The robot also uses motor encoders with PID control for more precise movement.

For interactive projects, Maqueen Plus V3 includes dual light sensors, RGB headlights, and a detachable metal motor design intended to make maintenance easier during frequent school or competition use. Power is supplied by 4x AA batteries, and battery reverse-connection protection is supported.
